About me

Football, seen from every angle

Developed at Levante UD and established in La Liga with Valencia CF, Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña and Sevilla FC, I was a senior international for Spain. Since retiring I have experienced football from the dugout, from Valencia CF's technical secretariat and as a sporting director, in Spain, Armenia and China. I work with professionalism and enthusiasm, guided by a clear conviction: the player must be the true protagonist of the team.

    Philosophy

    How I understand football

    01

“In professional football, the people you work with, both players and technical staff, are fundamental. I believe in daily work, teamwork and joining forces to achieve our goals.”

    02

“The footballer as a person and everything around them —their emotional, physical and mental state— is extraordinarily important to get the best performance in every match and training session.”

    03

“The purpose of training is to refine the team's organisation, working on and developing our idea of play.”

    04

“Collective intelligence is a competitive asset that makes a team unstoppable and a winner. Our methodology helps players feel comfortable on the pitch so their skills serve the team.”
